A Minnesota Kolsch-style beer we’ve brewed to quench your thirst on a lazy summer day. Clean, crisp, and just the right amount of sweetness coming from local honey we source Oronoco bees at the Bee Shed. These bees are raised to adapt to the local Minnesota eco-culture and make their honey from native prairie wildflowers. With a nod to the German immigrants in the Midwest, this refreshing beer blends German culture with Minnesota hardiness.
This beer is fermented a little colder and longer based on the yeast strain to provide a crisp, light thirst-quenching beer. Strawlike in appearance, this is a great gateway beer for folks crossing over to craft beers for the first time or for those experienced craft beer drinkers who are looking for a lawnmower beer on a hot Minnesota summer day.
Hop Bollocks Session IPA

The intention of a session beer is to provide big flavor with lower alcohol so you can have more than one per session (within reason of course). Hop Bollocks brings flavor and aroma with three different hops. Nugget and Centennial are added to create medium bitterness; late addition of Simcoe for aroma, and then dry hopped with more Simcoe and more Centennial for another punch of aroma. This piney, citrusy, lemony combination is the dogs bollocks (you can Google that if you need to).
A base of pilsner malt with a hint of pale honey, Vienna, Munich, and Carapils malts.

They can take our lives, but they’ll never take our Freedom. Our Scotch ale hints at Scottish flavors of biscuits and toffee with toasted caramel and a hint of smokiness. Sorry, no haggis here folks. This beer features a strong, malty backbone and we use Fuggle hops for its underlying earthy tones. The hops take a backseat in this beer to let the malt shine through.
Hawaii 507 Coconut Stout

A taste of the islands right here in the land of 10,000 lakes. We brew a stout and add toasted coconut and bourbon vanilla beans in the secondary fermentation to create a smooth, rich chocolatey, coconuty dessert-in-a-glass, but without being too sweet. Serving this beer on nitrogen enhances the creamy profile and mouthfeel.
Nelson IPA

Simcoe hops added at the start of the boil for bitterness, late hop additions of Mosaic and Nelson-Sauvin hops to provide unique grapefruity and white wine overtones.
Guest Beers from Local Minnesota Breweries
We rotate 2 to 3 guest beers on tap at Grand Rounds. We highlight local breweries that don’t yet distribute to Rochester. This means that our guest beers are not available anywhere else in Rochester.
Bauhaus Brew Labs is a family of musicians, scientists, artists and above all, beer lovers, aiming to reinvigorate the spirit of the family brewery. At Bauhaus, they take a unique look at classic German-inspired beer styles, skewed slightly by a sense of play and adventure. Their flavor-forward, sessionable beers are crafted to surprise and delight without taxing the palate.
Sociable is driven by a pretty simple vision. Cider should be much more than the lightly-alcoholic, made-from-concentrate, sweet apple juice boxes that currently dominate the shelf space. Sociable ciders are well carbonated, dry and always made from real apples. Simply put, they should be enjoyed like great draught beer. Sociable is not just hard cider, they’re much more.
