Grand Wort Challenge

Grand Rounds Brewpub and the RAZE home brewing group are teaming up for the Grand Wort Challenge! Our head brewer Steven Finnie is making a batch of fresh wort, which will be shared with a few lucky home brewers.

On Sunday, March 20, pre-registered participants will pick up 5.5 gallons of wort at Grand Rounds.  After enjoying a Grand Rounds pint for inspiration, take your wort home and brew! Be as creative as you can possibly be. On Wednesday, May 18 bring your finished beer back to Grand Rounds to share with other home brewers.  We are looking forward to seeing what everyone does with the wort.

The Details

The Grand Wort Challenge wort pick-up is Sunday March 20 from 11:30-12:30 at Grand Rounds Brewpub

Entry fee is $10, which gets you about 5.5 gallons of 100% golden promise virgin wort (no hops added) with an OG around 1.050. You also get 1 pint of Grand Rounds beer to drink at the bar

Participants need to bring a bucket and lid or other vessel to carry their wort

You will need to use the wort within 24 hours

If you are unable to pick up your wort at this time, someone else may get it for you.  Please contact RAZE through their  to arrange for someone else to pick up your wort.
